After buying Flame I wanted a v2 bodied Cy Girl, so I ordered a boxed Ice from the Old Joe Infirmary. She turned out to be absolutely gorgeous with a really cute expression on her face.
I immediately found an excuse to buy another one: her uniform limits her movements quite a bit and to dress her up in civilian clothes I wanted to remove the choker around her neck.
The choker was clearly put around her neck before her head was fitted, so the only way to remove it is to cut the choker in half or remove the head.
Call me a softy but there's no way I was going to pull the head off of a beautiful figure like this, besides I could have damaged the head or the neck joint.
I could have left the choker around her neck, but instead I chose to order another Ice from OJI, this time a nude one, and keep the boxed Ice in pristine shape.
Some time later I was watching the TV show Heroes and noticed that my first Ice looks a bit like actress Kristen Bell, so I named her Kristy.
So I ordered a 'Nude 2.0 Body with Ice Head' together with a pair of her original boots, again from OJI.
Nine days later she arrived in a sturdy box filled with foam peanuts, hunched up, naked in a zip-lock bag. When I took her out of the box I looked straight into a pair of big blue eyes and an irresistibly sweet smile.
I am forever grateful to OJIs Doc for sending me the prettiest Agent Ice figure I have ever seen. Granted, all Ices are pretty but this one is really special.
Whilst dressing her I noticed something interesting about her face: depending on how the light strikes she appears to have different expressions on her face: sad, moody, sweet, happy, it is all there.
So I tried to capture her expressions with my digital camera and that's how I started my latest hobby: taking pictures of my little girl.
Another thing I noticed is that her face and the shape of her head bears quite a resemblance to actress Monica Potter, so I decided to name her Nicky.
I removed the black straps and the knee pads from the original Ice boots, cut the boot sleeves down to below the knee and fixed the edges of the sleeves with some textile glue.
I found her some bare v1 hands which I later adapted to v1.5 wrists.
Her sweet smile makes Nicky the ideal girl for lovely settings and cuddly things, so I bought her a small bear on a keyring, removed the keyring and put it in her arms.
and Kim makes three
Cy Girls are becoming hard to find (Ice is the only fair skinned v2.0 figure, apart from some limited releases, the others have slightly different skin tones) and parts like ankles are impossible to replace so I bought yet another nude Ice as a spare.
I decided not to put her in a box but instead dressed her up in a black sweater from OJI and a black miniskirt and boots from a BBI Law Enforcement set and named her Kim.
Being a true Cool Girl, Kim is just as photogenic as the others so I took some pictures of her too.
Each of my three Ices has a slightly different look on her face, with Nicky being downright lovely and Kirsty, my first Ice, having a somewhat more cheeky expression.
There is a lot of 'cloned' Cy Girls material available, so I decided to create Blanche, a cloned Ice from a pale 'enhanced' CG v2 body and a cloned Ice head sculpt.
Here she is together with Kristy. Kristy is on the left in the pictures, Blanche on the right, both are wearing original Ice outfits.
The differences between the original head sculpt and the cloned one are more noticeable than I thought they would be, it made me appreciate the beauty of the original sculpt even more.
