Some more pictures of Vera, my dearest 'spares-box sweetheart'. All the time I spent on Vera trying to repair, enhance and improve her body and limbs made me grow ever more fond of her.
The expression on her face may sometimes look a bit moody from a distance but up close it is a lovely face with big green eyes and a sweet smile.
I still haven't worked out exactly how to arrange the lighting to bring out more of the loveliness, so I usually spend more time on taking pictures of Vera.

The first pictures I took of Vera were taken in the yellowish light of my desk lamp so these pics have a yellowish cast.

I made Vera a pair of black pleather shorts, the shorts were made to fit over a legging but also look good on bare legs.

With long sleeves it is not obvious that her left arm is a custom made item, with shorter sleeves, the white plastic of the arm stands out (I have yet to decide whether to paint the arm or not) so I test fitted various types of hands and a hook.

Temporary setback: a repaired fracture above her right knee broke again, this time I added a strip cut from a piece of Plastruct tubing to the inside of the leg as reinforcement. This took a while to cure thoroughly so in the meantime Vera had to use some makeshift crutches.
The white dress she briefly wore before did not do much for her figure so I decided to make Vera a tight dress out of stretchy fabric. I also made her a pair of cropped gray leggings and a stretchy black waist belt with a heart-shaped buckle to go with the dress.

Penny ended up having her legs attached with magnets.
So whenever I want to do some work on her legs (like firming up her ankles or making her some boots) I just replace her legs with some lengths of spare tubing.
After I did so and put her back in the display cabinet, I noticed that on the tubing she stood about as tall as Vera so I arranged a little photoshoot of the two together.
