In 2008 a Mazda RX-8 from the SpeedSource team finished first in GT class at the Daytona 24hr race.
Studio27 released two sets of decals, one for the winning car and one for the second car in the team.
There are no RX-8 race car kits and I haven't seen any conversion kits sofar either.
The SpeedSource team cars were fitted with Mazdaspeed aerokits, so either the Fujimi Mazdaspeed RX-8 A-Spec or the Fujimi Mazdaspeed RX-8 Version II makes for a good starting point.
The wheels fitted to these cars were RacingHart CP-M368 wheels, but at this moment these are not available as 1/24 scale wheels.
However Work Emotion CR 18in Wheels (Aoshima, The Tuned Parts, Set Nr.22, cat. nr. 053003) are a close match and happen to have 'female' connectors (same as Fujimi uses) so you can fit the wheels to a Fujimi RX-8 kit without the need for modifications.
You do need to add some 18in slick tires (or some rain tires as the 2008 Daytona 24hr race had a lot of rain). A set of slick tires from a Tamiya Opel Calibra V6 DTM (kit nr.24149, part nr. 9402262) fits the Aoshima Work Emotion CR wheels nicely.
You also need to add a raised rear wing, the straight single-aerofoil wing from the Aoshima 'Wing parts Vol.1' (Aoshima The Tuned Parts Nr.93, cat nr.058237) should work.
The rest of the conversion (lowered suspension, refuel caps, exhaust system, cabin interior with roll cage, etc.) you need to do yourself.
Actually most endurance racing RX-8, including the ones from SpeedSource, are fitted with a 20B 3-rotor engine, but the difference is hard to spot as long as the bonnet is closed.
